Appointments
Scheduling Goals:
We recognize that most of our patients have obligations during the day, usually involving work or school. When orthodontic treatment begins, each patient is seen approximately every 4-8 weeks and some of these appointments may conflict with work or school schedules. We are happy to provide you with a written excuse slip to avoid an unexcused absence from work or school.
Short and Long Appointments:
Emergencies and longer appointments are scheduled during school hours. In this way, an entire afternoon is not committed to one or two patients. Instead, we are able to accommodate as many families as possible for after-school, shorter appointments. As you can imagine, early morning and after-school appointments are booked heavily so that patients do not have to miss work or school.
If you should ever wish to come to our office during a quieter time, please ask to schedule an appointment during morning hours.
Late Arrivals & Rescheduled Appointments:
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may cause you to change or overlook your appointments. Every appointment is vital to the success of your treatment outcome. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please call us at least 24 hours in advance. We will accommodate you by offering you the first available appointment. We reserve the right to charge for missed appointments. Please remember that missed appointments will lengthen your estimated treatment time.

You will receive a recorded message from our Automated Appointment Confirmation Program two evenings before your appointment. The message will remind you of your scheduled appointment time. If the Automated Calling Program is unable to connect (i.e. busy phone circuits, power failure), please refer to your appointment ticket to avoid confusion or missed appointments.
